DELTA OHM - DO9704 DATA LOGGER FOR MEASURING PRESSURE, FLOW RATE AND TEMPERATURE

The Delta Ohm DO 9704 pressure gauge and data logger has been designed for detecting pressure, flow rate and temperature, physical values which are very important in industrial and chemical processes. The instrument has two inputs, and automatically recognizes the probes connected, whether they be pressure or temperature probes or turbines for measuring flow rate. As the probes are interchangeable, it is possible to choose the most suitable combination for all applications without having to recalibrate the instrument. The operating principle of the pressure sensor is based on the bending of a membrane in a watertight chamber in contact with the flow of which you want to measure the pressure. The flow may be liquid or gas. The flow rate measurement is based on the number of impulses or the frequency of a small fan.

The DO 9704 is able to measure the following:
Pressure:
• Differential or relative pressure from 10 mbar to 2 bar for air or non corrosive gases;
• Absolute and relative pressure from 0.2 bar to 1000 bar for measurements in contact with liquids or gases.
• The measurement units are: bar, kPa, atm, mmHg, mmH2O and psi.
• The instrument is able to detect peaks of around 5 milliseconds.
Temperature:
• Interchangeable probes are available with amplified Pt100 elements of the TP 870 series; the measurement may be in °C or °F.
Flow rate:
• Flow rate may be measured with a turbine in the range from 2 to 2000 liters per minute in the measurement units LPM (litres per minute) or IPGM (Imperial Gallons per Minute).

DELTA OHM - HD2004 PASSIVE PRESSURE TRANSMITTERS WITH CONNECTOR DIN 43650

HD 2004T and HD 20V4T are microprocessor pressure transmitters, the first one having a current output (4÷20 mA) and the second one a voltage output (0÷5V, 1÷5V or 0÷10V). The sensitive element consists of a bridge of piezoresistive resistances laid on a ceramic diaphragm. When changing the applied pressure, the bending of this
diaphragm causes a linear and proportional change of the bridge resistances.

The stainless steel case (30 mm diam.) includes both the sensor and the electronics: unscrewing the base equipped with faston connectors, you access the keys to adjust the upper and the full scale. A LED helps the user during the calibration procedure. A 1 /4” BSP threaded connection and a slot on the case for a 24 mm wrench are provided
to connect the transmitter with the plant under pressure. On the other side, a 3/4- pole (depending on models) male faston connector, the relevant outlet and a PG7 cable gland pursuant to DIN 43650 are provided to grant the electrical links.

DELTA OHM - HD 8804 MICROPROCESSOR PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE GAUGE

The HD 8804 is a portable instrument with two inputs for measuring pressure and temperature. These two inputs may be connected simultaneously: two pressure probes, so that the difference between the two values ?p may be calculated as long as the probes have the same full-scale value; two temperature probes, so that the difference between the two values ?t may be calculated; or one pressure probe and one temperature probe may be connected.

The HD 8804 enables both variables to be measured with an excellent degree of precision in a range which is substantially limited only by the capacity of the probes. As the probes are interchangeable, the most suitable combination for all applications may be chosen without the need for recalibration. Probes may be connected for measuring absolute pressure (with reference to a vacuum), pressure relative to the atmosphere and differential pressure. For temperature measurements the TP 870 series of temperature probes is used, supplied in the versions for immersion TP 870, for contact measurements TP 870/C, with a penetration point TP 870/P, for measurements in air TP 870/A. The temperature probes have a Pt100 platinum sensor. The liquid or gas under pressure is in contact with the container of AISI 303 stainless steel, the Alumina membrane and the Viton gaskets, so excellent compatibility with most industrial fluids and gases is ensured. The probe contains active electronics, the temperature working range is vast, 0...+80°C, while the thermal drift is compensated. Calibration of the offset, the full scale value, the thermal drift and the automatic identification of the full-scale value of the probe is accessible and adjustable
inside the probe itself.

ESSENTIAL CHARACTERISTICS:
• Excellent cost/performance ratio.
• Versatile and easy to use.
• Pressure is measured in the units most widely used in engineering: bar, Pa, psi, atm, mmHg, mH2O.
• Measurement of the difference in pressure ?P between the two connected probes (A - B).
• Temperature measurement in the range -200...+800°C with a Pt100 platinum sensor.
• Measurement of the difference in temperature ?T between the two connected probes (A - B).
• Autorange.
• Switches off automatically.
• Seven scales for measuring pressure, two scales for measuring temperature.
• Absolute, differential and relative measurements.
• Stores and displays the maximum and minimum value and the difference between the inputs.
• Automatically recognizes the type of probe (full-scale value, pressure or temperature).
• Allows 100% overload.
• Robust case.
• A beep sounds to indicate that a key has been pressed; one beep every 30 seconds indicates that the battery is running low.

APPLICATIONS
There are a great many applications of the pressure and temperature gauge, ranging from the measurement of the draught in chimneys (a few mbar of differential pressure) to high precision moulding machines (many tons/cm):
• Hydraulics;
• Fluidodynamics;
• Chemical plants and process controls;
• Compressors;
• Pumping plants;
• Capacity measurements with diaphragm;
• Moulding and presses for plastics and thermosetting materials;
• Measuring the level in tanks or silos.

ROTOTHERM - DIGIGAUGE

High accuracy and a 4 digit display enables the DigiGauge to be used as a standard test gauge, replacing less accurate, sometimes fragile analogue test gauges. Factory calibration certificates traceable to National Standards are provided and NAMAS calibration certificates can be supplied if required.

Covering a wide range of test and measurement applications with pressure ranges available from vacuum to 400 bar, DigiGauge can be supplied with hygienic fittings for food applications or with diaphragm seals for use on corrosive, viscous or crystallising fluids.

DigiGauge can be supplied with two pressure units, bar and psi - the required measurement unit being selected by an internal switch. The first pressure unit defines the actual range of the instrument, the second pressure unit provides an equivalent scale. Custom calibrations can be applied to enable indication of tank / vessel contents displayed in any units of your choice, a drawing of the tank will be required at the time of order placement. All standard DigiGauges are calibrated to traceable standards. Temperature compensated sensors may be specified to automatically correct zero and span drift.

Non-intrinsically Safe versions of DigiGauge can also be specified with a MAXIMUM and MINIMUM pressure logging option. DigiGauge is powered by 2 standard 1.5V AA cells.
